Dormouse ecology and conservation, 1-day course
This introductory course will greatly enhance your understanding of dormouse ecology and conservation and will provide you with a useful first step towards gaining your dormouse handling licence. Once you have completed the course, your trainer will usually be happy to act as one of your referees for your dormouse licence application. Field and classroom based at venues in the Exeter area.
During the course you will cover:
- Dormouse ecology & conservation
- Survey techniques
- Best practice in handling dormice
- Carrying out a dormouse nest box check
Once you have booked this course, we will send your booking confirmation, details of course venue and directions, programme for the day, what to bring list, and a list of local accomodation providers.
Please note that during the course you will be required to walk up to 3km and on uneven ground, so please ensure you are capable of this before booking.
