Why do I need a wildlife survey?

Have you been asked to provide a wildlife survey report as part of a development?

There are currently many laws covering protected species and they are 'a material consideration' when planning authorities are considering granting planning permission.

It is always better to consider wildlife at the outset to avoid delays in both the granting of planning permission and possible delays if protected species are later found on site. A wildlife survey which accompanies a planning application can often speed up the process.

A full report of the habitats and species on site, including those that are protected, is prepared. Advice is given within the report on what mitigation could be provided to help reduce the impacts on wildlife and possibly even provide wildlife gain.

Do you own some land and want to encourage wildlife?

A survey can tell you what wildlife you have on your site. This information can be used to help you decide how to manage the site.

A full survey report is prepared including species and habitats present and management ideas and ways you can encourage wildlife to the site. We can also prepare a mangement plan if required.
