Steph is our Bristol Branch Manager and has 13 years’ experience in ecological consultancy and the public sector. She is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management and has specialist knowledge and extensive experience in protected species surveys (bats, water voles, otters, amphibians, reptiles, badgers, white-clawed crayfish and aquatic invertebrates). She is experienced in Extended Phase 1 Habitat Surveys, National Vegetation Classification (NVC) Surveys for woodland and grassland and also rare arable plant surveys. Steph is also experienced in undertaking River Habitat Surveys, River Corridor Surveys and producing Habitat Management Plans.
Steph is a holder of Natural England (NE) and Natural Resources Wales (NRW) bat survey licenses and has extensive experience in European Protected Species (EPS) development licence application process, including holding a Bat Low Impact class Licence (BLICL). She also holds a great crested newt license (NE). Steph is also a trained tree climber and undertakes aerial assessments for bats in trees.
In her spare time she is a passionate rock climber.
