The London and South East office was set up by Sarah Lyne, Principal Ecologist, in April 2014. Since this time, the London and South East office has employed an Assistant Ecologist and worked with various volunteers to help them gain work experience.
The London and South East office now has a list of loyal clients, including planners, Local Authorities, developers and architects. The London and South East team frequently work with clients on projects involving bat surveys, including seeing projects through from the initial external and internal inspection stage of buildings, to the implementation of the European Protected Species Licence. The London and South East team also work on projects which require Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Biodiversity Mapping, Code for Sustainable Homes and BREEAM Assessments, assessments of potential Sites of Alternative Natural Greenspace (SANGS), Biodiversity Enhancement and Management Plans, and surveys for great crested newts (including pitfall trapping), reptiles, breeding birds, badgers and dormice. The London and South East team also provide Ecological Clerk of Works services.
